Camelhair is light, compact and lustrous, and usually offered in its natural shades, as it is very rarely dyed.
It is probably one of the most eco-friendly yarns that you can use, as Bactrian Camel wool is mostly harvested by families in remote parts of Asia.
Our balls & skeins of camelhair are lightly oiled, and therefore don’t feel particularly soft to the touch.
Once the oil is scoured from the yarn, and your garment has had its first proper wash, it will be lovely and soft, with a slight bloom to the yarn.
